
UI Explorations : My first task for this project was to come up with good UI designs to match Frozen IP. I created every button to icons, UI mock ups, and HUD assets.


Chest Exploration : Chests were important prop in our game which represented prizes and rewards. I designed total 4 chests : wooden chest, fabric chest, royal chest, then ice chest which was the best chest you could earn.

Background Concepts : I worked with 3D artist and Tech artist to come up with background concepts. With given room template from 3D team, I created rooms that were both interior and exterior.

Prop Designs : Worked with 3D and created multiple props for each room. When room concepts were approved I started creating props which included rendering. I provided break down of props, different angles/views to help 3D artist build props faster, also provided clean and rendered looking textures. These props below are all done in 2D.

Character Design : Whenever there is a new room, there was a new character. I created characters based on some templates. 3D artist/Tech artist provided. 3D models were done by Debbie Kim.

Event Illustration : There were multiple event screens I had to mock up, and one of the big tasks was to create illustration that works with each event theme. I sketch out the scene, get posed low poly 3D character from animators, re-created the scene with more rendering and colors.

These were two locations that I was managing with one outsource artist and one in-house artist. Everything went through the process that were shown above, and these were final scene done in 3D. These two videos show before/after of make over. Our main meta feature was to fix up a room/location with snowflakes you earn from match 3 game!
